Lifeline
Lifeline
The Lifeline Discount for Voice only service is $5.25 and for Voice/DSL bundled service is $9.25. Links for more information or see if you qualify can be found at www.USAC.org.
*Lifeline is a government assistance program offering telephone and broadband discounts to low-income consumers in all U.S. states and territories. Lifeline support reduces eligible consumers’ monthly charges for basic telephone service and broadband.
Lifeline service is limited to one discount per household at the customer’s primary residence. ARTELCO™ will process all applications and apply the appropriate credit on the customer’s monthly bill. Customers of Lifeline service must notify the company of any changes which would affect qualification. Verification of eligibility will take place initially and at a minimum annually each year of service thereafter. When the customer is no longer eligible for Lifeline Service, the discount will be discontinued and regular rates and charges will apply. ARTELCO™ also offers voluntary toll blocking to low income customers at no charge for voice lifeline subscribers. Toll blocking provides the customer with local dialing capabilities, but blocks any call that has a long distance or premium service charge associated with it. Lifeline is non-transferable. Lifeline is available to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps, Medicaid, Federal Public Housing Assistance, Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit Program, and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients as well as customers whose income is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guideline (FGP).
